Fleeting Magazine is an online literary magazine for short form poetry and fiction by new and established writers. First presented in 2009 it publishes what it calls “erudite, infectious” pieces, showcasing each contribution in a one item per page format. Neil Nixon called Fleeting "an online repository of the best in short fiction and poetry".[1]

Entries are compiled in two sections: Poems and Short Stories. Both tend towards social commentary, humour, observations on the world (past and present) and glimpses into the alien lives of others.
A third section, Prizes, details Fleeting’s partnership with Stack Magazines for “The Best Short Story in the World” and its own annual Short Writing Competition.
Fleeting also provides jumping off points for a fee-based reading service in The Clinic and a page called The List, dedicated to sourcing interesting literary destinations on the Internet.
Notable contributors to date include Fiona Pitt-Kethley, Jess Walter, Chelsea Martin, John McCullough, Mario Petrucci and Ross Sutherland.
